I was a finalist for the 2015 National Magazine Award for two short documentaries chronicling the effects of housing discrimination in Chicago. Kori Feener is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and journalist who believes in the power of storytelling. Feener’s documentary work has been screened in festivals, and at events and universities across the United States. She is currently working on a long-term feature documentary entitled Bea with Emmy award-winning cinematographer Allen Moore. Bea is a coming of age tale about a young girl with a genetic condition so rare, no one else in the world has it. She is a board member of the Non-Fiction Cartel, a collaborative focused on short form storytelling and has worked for award winning documentary filmmakers: Ross McElwee, Amy Ziering, Kirby Dick and Julie Gustafson.

My name is Cal Hopwood, I am a freelance filmmaker with a focus in documentaries. I graduated in 2011 with a degree in filmmaking and am currently back at Champlain College in Burlington, VT getting my MFA in Emergent Media. I have produced multiple short narrative films, music videos and commercial projects. Currently I am working on a long term project called "The Pursuit: A Global Quest for Happiness", it is a documentary focusing on the key basics that allows for individuals to be happy and follows myself traveling to different parts of the world and spotlighting individuals helping their local communities in one of the 3 areas, healthcare, education and sustainability. I own my own professional camera equipment including a RED Scarlet and Canon 5D. My business partner, Jon Mendel, is a production sound recorder and together we co-founded and make up Dilation Films, a small video production.
