Spanish-Ethiopian filmmaker & photographer based in Ethiopia since 2010. With a deep understanding of the country and Africa in general, multilingual (Spanish, English, Italian, Amharic), married to an Ethiopian-American artist, forming a vibrant multicultural family of six. Through traveling and filmmaking, I have found immense joy in my work, embracing it with the curiosity and wonder of a child.

Kenenisa Bekele is one of the world’s fastest marathon runners. He runs 26.2 miles in half the time it takes the average runner. Every year, the world’s top long-distance runners compete in the Berlin Marathon in a bid to break the world record (of two hours, two minutes, 57 seconds). Berlin’s generally flat course means that runners are more likely to break the record there than at most other marathons. And last year, Bekele came up just six seconds short of the record. Now, in an effort to achieve his ultimate goal, Bekele is training twice a day while exploring the limits of human potential and pushing his body to places few will ever know.
For 2.2 billion people around the world, access to safe water is not a given. For them, there is no such thing as simply turning on a tap at home, school or the workplace. World Water Day is all about a global and public conversation on how people value water for all its uses. Today we share our partner's story of valuing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services. Watch the video and see how the WASH programme has resulted in better health. Now more important than ever before due to COVID-19.
